Parenting

Parenting is hard work! You have plenty of time to educate yourself and prepare if this is the choice you decide to make. Some important things to consider when you find yourself unexpectedly pregnant are:

Who is a part of your support system and how can they support you?

How familiar are you with the community resources and how they can help you?

What options are available to you for childcare after the baby is born?

What is your currently living situation? Is it a suitable environment to raise a child?

We can help you navigate these questions and many others you may have. While parenting may feel overwhelming, especially when you didn’t plan for it, you can be successful! There are options for you and solutions to the problems you are facing. Most importantly, you don’t have to do it alone. We provide free one-on-one prenatal & parenting classes to help you prepare for your baby’s birth and beyond.

Here are just a few of the topics our Earn While You Learn classes cover:

With each class that you attend you will earn Care Cash to be used in our Baby Boutique to exchange for necessary baby items, such as diapers, wipes, baby clothes, blankets and more. Classes typically last a half-hour, with an additional half-hour available to shop for your items. If necessary, we can also refer you to local agencies that can support you in other ways such as housing, food, formula, and healthcare.
